The film program at the University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee is very well-developed and respected throughout the country. The school offers both bachelor and master of fine arts degrees specializing in independent and experimental film. Not to be outdone, the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design features a time-based media major that addresses animation, digital technology and video in one program of study. Meanwhile, Marquette University offers a complementary program in broadcast and electronic communications with undergraduate and postgraduate degrees for those that prefer television to feature films.
